Not that interested in details but having attended a lot of sunday sessions with Eastwood over the past few years it seems somewhat strange that numbers have doubled.

We are at Trent Bridge every wednesday and have 15-16 usually even though we run 4 teams on a saturday. All the juniors net on Sundays there as well.

Jimmy,

they have recently been more successful having moved back to Eastwood and some of the youngsters now starting to drive and get to the nets on their own.

We have had a couple of nets of 25-30 and have always been at least 20 odd there.

I will use some initials of people who have been their regurlarly

RE 1st
MBo 1st
DS 1st

GS 2nd
MS2nd
SS 2nd
CH 2nd
MD 2nd/3
SD 2nd/3
LE 2nd/3
MC 3
AS 1/2/3
Fat lad 1/2/3

MB 2nd
MS 2nd
JP 1st/2nd
JL 2nd

other who have attended a few so far...

SH 1st
AH 1st/2nd
DB 2nd
AL 1st/2nd
CL 2nd

SW 2nd/3.

Big Al 2nd

And there has generally been 6 kids under 13 say, in the fourth net.

Hopefully this will show Jimmy that we have had regular people in our nets - have initialised them as Jimmy will know who the majority are, and will help to protect anonymity amongst the rest of you. Also Jimmy should be able to identify that I have correctly used the term fringe and some of the promisiing youngsters moving into the 2nd and fringe nets.

Apparently Eastwood told us that we could only have the nets till mid Feb beacause of a new team joining,doesnt seem to be any consideration for the teams that were there the previous season who had that net time,thought that would have been ethical,so a derbyshire come in,book and got the prime slot we had previous year

Wonder if i apply next week and book the 4pm slot that Eastwood currently use,will i be sucessfull or is it who you know not who you are never mind im sure a forthcoming announcement from our club will set tongues wagging

Can you all keep a secret

Well we can cant we Tony,Elk and Deadbat

We will announce in due course boys on here exclusivley

Gazza is course referring to Eastwood as to the sports centre, run by Broxtowe Borough Council, and not to Eastwood Town Cricket Club.....
