DCCL appoint Sting In The Tail as official website In an exciting development that should benefit both Derbyshire League cricket and Sting In The Tail, we can exclusively reveal that this site has been appointed as the official website of the Derbyshire County Cricket League. Sting In The Tail, officially launched in August 2000 after being in devlopment for six months, is the most popular county site on the Rivals cricket network with over 2,000 unique users that viewed over 50,000 pages in September alone (official Rivals figures). This joint initiative will further enhance the site's coverage of Derbyshire cricket and will be a great vehicle for the promotion of the sport in the county. David Baggett, secretary of the County League said: "This is another significant step forward for the League and it will enable us to extend still further the already extensive amount of information that we make available to our clubs, sponsors and indeed all the many people who take a keen interest in local cricket. We are confident that it will prove to be a highly successful venture." The agreement, which will be formally announced to the clubs at the Rules Revision Meeting on Monday 12th November 2001, will run for a 12 month trail period from November 1st 2001. Sting In The Tail does not intend to stop there. We have more exciting developments under discussion which we hope to be able to announce shortly. Log on to the site regularly to be sure of being one of the first to hear the news.
