Mapperley Sports Premier Cup Performance Awards

The Mapperley Sports Performance Awards for the inaugural season of the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Premier Cup have been announced.

Sponsored by Alan Croome of Mapperley Sports, the awards were for the best three batting and bowling performances during the 2001 tournament. Overseas players and paid professionals were not eligible for an award.

The winners were:

Batting

Andy Thompson (Langley Mill) 131 v Kimberley Institute
N Mohammed (Radcliffe-on-Trent) 127 v Quarndon
Samit Patel (Langley Mill) 117 v Kimberley Institute

Bowling

Phil Clarke (Unity Casuals) 6 for 13 v Ilkeston Rutland
Tom Hemmings (Caythorpe) 5 for 18 v Dunstall
Samit Patel (Langley Mill) 5 for 27 v Stainsby Hall

The winners each receive a £50 gift voucher.
