Mansfield Sunday League presentation night by Alan Rowley, 26th December 2003
The Mansfield and District Sunday League annual presentation night was held at the Redbrick House on Saturday 8th December. Guest speaker for the evening was former Derbyshire wicket-keeper and Chesterfield goalkeeper, Chris Marples. Despite being very entertaining, Marples spot was spoilt by an inadequate public address system.
League secretary John Leverton told 'the follow on': "The event was again full to the rafters and our sponsors, Auction Location, were well represented. The meal of roast beef was excellent and needless to say everyone enjoyed themselves with plenty of the wet stuff being consumed."
