Outlawed's popularity doubles
by Alan Rowley, 2nd July 2003

Outlawed, 'the independent voice of Nottinghamshire cricket', has almost doubled its page views in the last month and is now pushing Indian Cricket Fever hard for the second spot in the cricket popularity stakes on SportNetwork.

In June, the site attracted a total of 64,502 page views made up of 35,863 story views and 28,639 message board views. This is a vast improvement on the current records set in May. Total page views increased by 29,837 from last month's 34,665. Story page views increased by over 10,000, but the message board was the real revelation, increasing views by almost 300%.

With the South Notts guestbook being suspended, and users being re-directed to Outlawed, these figures look sure to be beaten next month. Users are already suggesting that it won't be long before Outlawed overtakes sister site Sting In The Tail, although that may have to wait until next season.

On the subject of Sting In The Tail, the Derbyshire site also recorded record figures of 156,521 page views, against a previous best of 104,415. Story page views went up from 32,179 to 44,961, whilst message board views shot up from 72,236 to 111,560.

Over 2,000 people accessed Outlawed in June, still some way behind Sting In The Tail which attracted over 4,000 users.

An incredible, 221,023 page views were recorded on both sites. A fantastic performance - thanks for your support.
