Tate in devastating form as Toombul topple neighbours
All-rounder Tate (pictured) was inspired as he tore through the home team's batting line-up as the Gators collapsed from 25 for 4 to 67 all out. Toombul second slip, Chris Holding, held on to every edge that came his way netting six catches in the innings. The home team soon had Toombul in trouble when the visitors took the crease and they were reduced to 4 for 3. This brought Tate and wicket-keeper Simon Milton (44) to rescue the side and record a first innings win. The points gained by fourth placed Toombul looks like securing them a semi-final place. Clifton will be looking to Tate to dispel memories of a disappointing 2003 campaign when the club finished third bottom in the Notts Premier. How will they do this season?
