Pure Cricket - cricket equipment to the professional amateur

'the follow on' is pleased to announce that Pure Sports are the site's main sponsors for the 2005 season. Pure Sports was established at the beginning of 2005 as a specialist retailer of cricket equipment, clothing and footwear and is based in Melbourne Derbyshire.

Pure Sports is the brainchild of brothers Chris and Matt Fulton. The brothers, aged 19 and 17 respectively, both played cricket in the Derbyshire leagues and were frustrated at the lack of choice offered by local sports outlets, where the emphasis is on replica clothing more than quality equipment.

“We sort to stock equipment from the leading UK brands” comments Chris, "and as such offer choices from Gunn & Moore, Gray Nicolls, Woodworm, Asics, Slazenger and Kookaburra". With the Aussies here this year we have reaped the benefits of increased awareness in cricket, particularly in the younger age groups” continues Chris.

The boys are hoping that their attention to detail and commitment to providing top quality products at competitive prices will encourage Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire players of all ages to visit the store and remain customers for life.

In addition to the retail store Chris & Matt have ventured into e-commerce with the launch of pure-cricket.co.uk. “We are very excited and encouraged by the start we have had to our online store” says Matt, “the internet offers vast potential allowing us to reach markets that were previously unavailable”.
