Play Cricket in Australia and New Zealand! Sport Lived is an organisation that arranges for young people to play sport overseas. They arrange for young sportspeople, both male and female, of all abilities to play cricket, hockey, rugby, football and netball with clubs in Australia and New Zealand. For all of their programmes, Sport Lived provide participants with an overseas club to play for, a furnished property to share with other people playing sport in the same city, an overseas mentor and assistance in finding work. Participants are guaranteed to have lots of fun by playing sport for some wonderful clubs and sharing a house with other young people. Ian Dodd, a member at Radcliffe-on-Trent Cricket Club, established Sport Lived in July 2004. The inspiration to set-up the company came from Ian’s own year out where, with the assistance of former professional Murray Creed, he played club cricket in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Sport Lived was established to enable other young people to enjoy the fantastic experience of playing sport overseas. Commenting on the company Ian said “I’ve always dreamed of setting up an organisation that would enable young people to go overseas and play sports such as cricket. Playing sport overseas is such an amazing experience - you have the opportunity to travel, to play a sport you love, make new friends and have loads of fun.” For more information on Sport Lived visit www.sportlived.co.uk, email: info@sportlived.co.uk or call 0870 9503837.
