'the follow on' statistics 2004 Before we draw the curtain on 2004, let's have a look at the site statistics for the year. Remember, in January, we started with a brand new site and we have had to build this up from scratch. Yes, we had the user base from Outlawed and Sting In The Tail, but we had to persuade them to make the switch. The following figures seem to prove that the move to an independent site has been a huge success. Firstly, let's take a look at the average daily viewing figures. The two charts below show the daily average page views and the daily average visits.
The best month of the year, from a statistics point of view, was August, when an incredible 140,952 pages were viewed in a total of 16.561 visits. The number of users grew steadily from an initial 1,331 in January, to a peak of 2,287 in October. Even during the close season, figures are still impressive, with the number of users holding up over the 2,000 mark, but the number of pages viewed, understandably falling. The following three charts show the monthly total page views, visits and users.
Over the year, a staggering total of 1,163,838 pages were viewed in 143,079 visits to the site. During these visits, over 55 million kilobytes of data were transferred. Very impressive! As I've said many times, this site is only as good as the readers who contribute to it, either with results and reports, or topics in the forums. Without the readers, all the efforts put into maintaining this site would be wasted. So, all that remains to say is a huge thank you to you lot and a very happy and successful 2005. Keep spreading the word and let's beat these figures in the new season.
