The academy, which is set to start during the October half term, is called the 'ProCricketCoachingAcademy' and the aim is to improve the skills, the technique, the mental strength and the confidence of our young cricketers.

Graeme WelchPlayers will receive expert coaching and advice from Derbyshire first team players Graeme Welch - head coach and first team captain (pictured left), Chris Taylor, Steve Stubbings, Hassan Adnan, Ant Botha, Ian Hunter, Greg Smith and others. Chris TaylorTaylor, director of ProCricketCoachingAcademy told 'the follow on': "The academy will hopefully be of tremendous benefit to young cricketers across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The aim is that children can learn direct from the Derbyshire first team players, something that we feel is a service that is second to none compared with most coaching around England. There is rarely any opportunity to be coached by the stars so take advantage of the new academy."

Taylor (pictured right) continued: "Any clubs in the Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire area requiring coaching at club nets during October to March should contact us. We have already signed up clubs for expert coaching to improve their teams for the 2007 season. Please email for our rates and what we can offer."
