Young cricketers delighted with new Jabba board As the new season rapidly approaches, local company Jabba Design are gearing up for an upturn in sales of their new portable cricket score board. The company is the brainchild of Stanton and Awsworth Elks' Darren Shaw who has designed a score board which solves all the problems experienced with existing portable scoreboards.
Tracey Burnett of EBM Limited in Erdington, Birmingham, who have sponsored the board for the youth team said: "Our youth section has been using a score board which is just a painted piece of board with tin numbers for many years. We decided this year that we would sponsor a new board for them as the youth team have done so well in the leagues. However, the price of a decent sized score board was very expensive," Picture (left) shows Darren Shaw presenting the scoreboard to Walmley Cricket Club sponsor Tracey Burnett. She continued: "It was while at the John Birch Sports Centre up in Nottingham that I came across the Jabba score board - perfect! Easy to assemble, easy to use, even for the smallest and youngest kids, and portable, which meant it could easily be stored and locked away. The best bit of all is the great value for money you get with this score board."
Recently, Woodborough Cricket Club purchased a Jabba board after seeing it on 'the follow on'. Shaw said: "I am sure that once clubs have started to use these boards in the coming season, more orders will follow." To order a scoreboard, contact Darren Shaw at Jabba Designs on 0115 9537645. You can contact Darren by email at jabba-design@ntlworld.com. Please quote reference TFO1, or mention 'the follow on' when ordering, and Jabba will make a donation to the site running costs on every board sold via this site.
