Rainworth Welfare entertain Derbyshire
by Alan Rowley, 23rd August 2006

Derbyshire County Cricket Club break new ground on Monday 28th August when they visit Bilsthorpe Sports Ground for a game against Rainworth Welfare in aid of the Kevin Dean Benefit Year. The game will be in the Twenty20 format and is scheduled to start at 2:00pm.

The ground will open at 12:00 noon and there will be a host of attractions to keep the whole family amused. The youngsters in your party will enjoy the bouncy castle, while mum and dad sample the all day bar. Refreshments will also be on sale including ice cream and burgers.

Fancy your chances of being the next Brett Lee? If so, try your hand with the speed gun. This device will measure the speed at which you bowl and there are two categories to enter - one for the under 40s, and one for the over 40s.

Derbyshire will be sending a strong side for the game, and all proceeds will go towards Kevin Dean's Benefit Fund. For more details on the benefit, log on to Kevin's website at www.deany75.com.
