Mansfield League Presentation Dinner
by Alan Rowley, 12th November 2007

The Mansfield and District Sunday Cricket League held their Annual Presentation Dinner at the Red Brick House at Mansfield Woodhouse last Saturday (10th). The event was well attended, as usual, with around 150 people present.

The League's main two sponsors, Birch Tree Homes, who sponsor the League, and Pentagon Vauxhall, who sponsor the cup competition, were represented. Other guests included Mr Alan Meale MP and Mrs M Simpson.

A full list of winners can be found in the statistics section, or by clicking here.

In addition to the winners, there was one extra presentation on the night. This presentation was for the Roy Simpson Memorial Trophy, which is sponsored by Mr Meale MP. This award is presented to one person during the season for services to cricket, and the winner this year was Mr. Godfrey Kerry, the League's Match Secretary.

On behalf of readers of 'the follow on', I would like to extend my appreciation to Godfrey for his efforts and look forward to his continued contributions to the site. Thanks Godfrey!
