Only unbeaten record goes The league's only unbeaten record disappeared on Sunday when Dronfield Woodhouse II defeated Division Three leaders, Calver. Woodhouse posted a competitive 207-8 (David Drew 53, James Staniforth 43, Doug Howie 4-57) and bowled out their visitors for just 90 (John Brown 5-45). It was business as usual for Calver on Saturday, however. They declared at 256-2 (Bonsall 100 no, Howie 67 no, Hilton 50) and dismissed Dronfield Sports II for a fighting 210 (Spooner 84, Raja 50, Mundy 5-55). Dronfield Woodhouse II began their weekend with the major share of the points in a drawn match at Hathersage II. Hathersage could only muster 82-8 in reply to Woodhouse's 191. Second placed Centralians II gained the better of a drawn game against third placed University Staff II. Cents were bowled out for 163 (S.Khan 5-70) and restricted their rivals to 122-9 (M.Franklin 43, C.Wood 5-36). Mark Scanlan took 7-15 to dismiss bottom side Millhouses II for just 79 and see Laycocks to a seven wicket victory. Hundall II declared at 217-6 but De La Salle II comfortably achieved the draw at 198-8. Hundall ominously extended their lead at the top of Division One to 54 points on Saturday. Home side De La Salle were bowled out for 115 (Barry Cox 4-29), which Hundall passed with three wickets down (Keeley 55 no). Just 24 points separate the chasing pack. Parkhead move back into second by virtue of beating third placed Stanton In Peak. Parkhead made 147 (J.Walker 4-44) and then rolled over Stanton for just 85 (Bowers 5-47, Junaid 4-12). University Staff gained a useful victory away at Centralians. Cents were dismissed for 187 (Marshall 55, Stow 54), which Staff passed with six wickets in hand (Needham 78, Hibbert 51, Walker 4-59). Hathersage kept in the hunt with victory away at Dronfield Woodhouse. Woodhouse scored 173-9 (J.Oxley 41, A.Morton 4-37) but an impressive 92 not out from Joe Woolway guided Hathersage home by four wickets. Baslow sent back strugglers Stocksbridge for 120 (Ryalls 4-21) having earlier made 190-6 (Westwell 68). Old Edwardians / Collegiate made 212-6 (Lings 52 no) away at Sheffield Works Department, who held on for the draw at 177-9 (Winter 4-44). Holmesfield continue to dominate proceedings at the top of Division Two, defeating second placed Ashford In The Water on Saturday. Holmesfield registered 252-4 (T.Hamilton 73, T.Lumb 53) before dismissing Ashford for 122. Third placed Grindleford suffered a shock defeat away at Bakewell. Bakewell made 116-6 and then humbled Grindleford for just 61 (Chris Haynes 4-14). Parkhead II declared at 203-9 (Dave Forsdike 43, Matthew Jenkins 44, Russell Price 4-27, Tom Leiper 4-68) and bowled out basement side Old Edwardians / Collegiate II for just 76 (Duncan Burdett 4-27). Sheffield Works Department II were dismissed for 148 (J.Nellis 4-20) at Chesterfield Barbarians, who in turn capitulated for 109 (Hawley 4-29). Stocksbridge II gained valuable points by posting 142-5 (Brelsford 52) and then bowling out Millhouses for 107 (Hurst 4-14). Richland Wanderers continue to top Division Four. On Saturday, they declared at 220-3 (Andy Tann 50, David Toft 54) and dismissed Calow II for 150 (Mark Wilmott 4-56), despite a terrific innings of 79 from Calow skipper Mark Brealey. Ridgeway bowled Chesterfield Barbarians II out for 107 (Peter Evans 6-32) and romped to an eight wicket win to stay second (Burke 59 no). BT Pensions / AGD I remain in third with a narrow win over Transport. Transport were sent back for just 69 (Paul Ramsdale 6-24), which Pensions passed with two wickets in hand (Cotterill 6-29). Shock of the day came at Great Longstone, where the home side bowled out fourth placed Baslow II for 110 (McGoverne 5-39) having earlier scored 139-8. Zingari (Oxley 59, Wingfield 4-22) gained a four wicket win away at Stocksbridge III, who had been restricted to 119-9 (Smallwood 4-31). Coal Aston made 157-7 (Steve Rhodes 65) against BT Pensions / AGD II, who won with six wickets down (Nick Calvert 45, Mark Calvert 51, Andy Wood 4-41).
