Wilmott stars in Wanderers romp The best individual performance of the weekend came from Mark Wilmott of Richland Wanderers in Division Four. Wilmott claimed 9-13 to see Great Longstone skittled out for just 36, as his team romped to a ten wicket victory and moved into fourth place. BT Pensions / AGD I maintained their top spot with a similar margin of victory over Chesterfield Barbarians II. Nick Smith took 6-20 to dismiss the Barbs for just 69 and Andy Sargerson (41 no) guided his side home without loss. Pensions second string kept up their challenge with victory over Transport. Pensions II made 122 (Baxter 4-31) and then sent back Transport for just 71 (Durward 5-52). Ridgeway returned to winning ways with 201-5 declared (Burke 79, Byers 54 no) at home to Stocksbridge III. Lee Keys (5-32) saw Stocksbridge dismissed for 149, despite a battling 44 from Smalley. Baslow made 172 (Herbstritt 46, Kusic 57, Ward 6-22) away at Zingari, who replied with 154-8 (Nunnington 79, Sadler 4-36). Calow registered 102-6 in reply to Coal Aston's 150-8. It was business as usual for Hundall in Division One, posting 178-7 (Parker 44 no, Kelly 4-43) against Stocksbridge. Stocksbridge could only manage 85 with Hundall's Barry Cox performing the hat-trick across his seventh and eighth overs to finish with 3-15. De La Salle kept second place with victory over Sheffield Works Department. Works registered a respectable 163-7 with Brad Sampson scoring 61. Alan George's 43 saw De La Salle to the winning post with three wickets to spare. University Staff maintained their challenge with a nine wicket victory over Old Edwardians / Collegiate. After bowling Old Eds out for 146, Hibbert (36 no) and Kerry (78 no) saw Staff to the win. Stanton In Peak also kept in the hunt with a win away at Hathersage. Hathersage were bowled out for 90 (Joe Woolway 43), which was passed by Stanton with eight wickets down (Rosling 42, Somerton 4-16). Michael Clegg of Baslow took 5-51 to dismiss Dronfield Woodhouse for 135, which his side passed for the loss of six wickets. Parkhead scored a five wicket victory after bowling out Centralians for 127 (Marshall 57, Gillott 5-34). Grindleford hold on to top spot in Division Two, as James Outram (58 no) saw them past Stocksbridge II's 130 with eight wickets to spare. A five wicket haul from Mumtaz saw Parkhead II make 93, which was passed by Millhouses for the loss of five men, continuing their steady ascent of the table. Sheffield Works Department II were bowled out for 114 (Worsencroft 4-39, Wallace 4-23) at home to Bakewell, who had no answer to Idris (5-2) and Esberger (4-3) as they went down by 51 runs. A youthful Old Edwardians / Collegiate side gained a creditable draw against Holmesfield. Holmesfield made 219 thanks to Youngs (77) and Lumb (44) with youngsters Colton (5-18) and Root (3-27) amongst the wickets. Old Eds held out for the draw at 129-6 with Lings scoring 30. A three way battle has emerged at the top of Division Three with Calver, Centralians II and Dronfield Woodhouse II all on eighty five points. Calver scored 155 (Doug Howie 64) against University Staff II, who were subsequently dismissed for 126. Centralians II kept up their good run of form by passing Laycocks 138 all out (Wainwright 43, Jewitt 44, Kennedy 5-33) with six wickets in hand (Schofield 42). In the Dronfield 'derby,' Sports were dismissed for 93, which was surpassed by Woodhouse for the loss of seven wickets, despite 5-40 from Faisal Raja. Calow scored 156-7 (Poole 85, Allender 4-44) and sent back previous leaders Hundall II for 94 (Johnson 5-34). Millhouses II were dismissed for 85 (Rowney 7-33) by Hathersage II, who won with seven wickets to spare. In the Knockout Cup, Holmesfield gained a six wicket victory after bowling out Centralians for 86. Sheffield Works Department made 196-6 (John Woods 68, Ian Lake 53) and restricted Calver to 138-9 (Doug Howie 45, Peter Holmes 4-13). Hundall made 188-8 (Hibbert 43, Seal 5-35) and bowled out Old Edwardians / Collegiate for 117 (Gibson 4-22). Laycocks scored a respectable 168-8 (Gilson 5-26), which was passed by Parkhead for the loss of five wickets (Vinall 75 no).
