Park Avenue hosts the big clash The eagerly awaited clash between the Bassetlaw Cricket League and the Mansfield & District League in the Cecil Rhoades Trophy will take place at Park Avenue , Glapwell this Sunday where a good game is expected between two strong sides. Strangely enough, most of the players ply their trade in the Bassetlaw League every Saturday so they will be no strangers to each other. In the previous round the Bassetlaw League who have won the President’s Trophy on four occasions beat the Derbyshire and Cheshire League by nine wickets, whilst the Mansfield & District side pulled off the shock of the round by beating the Durham Senior League. It all adds up to a fascinating match which will commence at 2.00 p.m. Spectators are most welcome and an evenly balanced game is expected. The selected teams are as follows . . .
