In form Clowne book semi final spot against holders Clowne crushed Blidworth by 54 runs to book a semi final spot against holders Tea Bags, and on this form a place in the final is more than a distinct possibility. Clumber Park had the two top scorers in G Beard 26 and A Bellamy 25, but it was opponents Thoresby Park who ran out four Clumber batsmen to make the most of their 115 for 1 total, winning by 27 runs. The game of the night saw four Edwinstowe batsmen retiring, Ian Smith top scoring with 35 not out, to set a hefty 133 for 5 total. Kiveton Park certainly gave it a go but despite a fine 34 not out from captain Matt Cartwright, Edwinstowe's bowling held its nerve to record a 19 run win. Bawtry could not repeat their first round heroics and went down by four wickets to Tea Bags, but they can reflect on a good season and have improved to a point where they are capable of beating anyone on a good day. Cheers Steve.
