Blidworth defeat champs to remain unbeaten Blidworth remain unbeaten on Sundays after a 22 run win over last year's champions Thoresby Park. Kiveton Park and Cuckney Cowboys head the chasing pack after expected wins over MGT and Woodsetts. There was a fine first victory for Killamarsh beating Bawtry by six wickets.Another side to taste victory for the first time was Langold on Monday whose 120 for 5 total was twice as many as Thoresby Park could muster in reply, to cap a disappointing week for the club. The big game on Wednesday brought together the two remaining unbeaten teams, and it was Shirebrook who came out on top in a high scoring encounter, although their total of 135 all out was always in danger before the Terriers fell just short on 117 for 6. Tricky Trees could be excused for not expecting the blitz they received from the Shireoaks batsmen as before this week their best score was 62 all out, but heavy scoring all down the order took the final total to a mammoth 151 for 5. The Forest supporters had no answer and replied with a paltry 72 for 4. Blyth's young side also scored 151 for 5 with Danny Brighton leading the way with 58 not out, and despite Bilsthorpe equalling their previous top score of 89, went down by a 62 run margin. The play-offs this season will consist of the top six sides from the Sunday and Monday leagues together with the top 4 Wednesday teams. Cheers Steve.
