Stroh 75 saves Tea Bags unbeaten record As the season enters its final month, the Sunday play-off places look to be any two from three to join leaders Killamarsh. Thoresby Park are the form side, this week beating second placed Kiveton Park and joining them on 14 points. Clowne put paid to Bawtry's hopes, Adam White top scoring with 32 not out, after Josh Womble had taken three of the four Bawtry wickets to fall in their 106 total. A good knock by Cowboy's Dave (Doc) Collins, who scored an unbeaten 52 against a scratch Pilsley side made up of Mansfield & Pleasley juniors. Only a 75 by guest player Richard Stroh saved Tea Bags unbeaten record against unlucky Langold, who bowled superbly to reduce Tea Bags to 30 for 6 at one stage and, even after Stroh’s heroics, Langold only finished 24 runs short on 90 all out. Edwinstowe had Richard Gombos (36) and James Peacock (33) to thank for the final total of 103 all out. Steady scoring down the order kept Whitwell in touch, and with two balls to go the scores were level, before a dot ball and a run out off the last ball gave Edwinstowe their third tie of the season and Whitwell their second, including the one they inherited from The Mafia from the corresponding match from week three. Glapwell lost their eighth straight game after struggling to 45 for 6 from 14 overs. It took only five overs f or Clumber Park to reach victory at 49 for 0. On Wednesday, Blyth scored a u seful 110 for 6. Unfortunately it was in reply to high flying Shireoaks massive 164 all out total. The winning margin of seven wickets did not reflect the closeness of the Cuckney Terriers win over Teversal as only three balls remained of a hard fought encounter. A reminder to all teams that only players that have played for your side during the current season will be eligible for the play-offs. Cheers Steve.
