Killamarsh defeat Pilsley to secure Sunday title Well done Killamarsh on securing the Sunday title following their two wicket defeat of Pilsley. The other two play-off places are still up for grabs after wins for Clowne, over Cuckney Cowboys by 31 runs, and Kiveton Park, who have struggled of late, getting back on winning ways with a close 22 run victory over Bawtry. Thoresby Park made it hard for themselves after a second defeat on the run, this time by improving Woodsetts,Tim Ward top scoring with 31 out of 108 for 6. Park looked well on course for victory before three run outs left them all out 13 runs short on 95 all out. Two games in week 14 will sort it out, with Killamarsh v Thoresby Park and Kiveton Park v Clowne. Only Whitwell now stand between Tea Bags and a clean sweep of 14 wins out of 14 games. It took only ten overs for them to knock off Glapwells 86 for 5 total. Edwinstowe kept their hopes alive by thrashing Springboks by six wickets, and Clumber Park beat Barmy Army by 19 runs to again take the race for the play-offs to week 14. A fine 53 by Steve Blagg, and 32 not out by James Hubbell, was enough for Langold to beat Whitwell by 20 runs, and Edwinstowe will hope they can keep up their form against Clumber Park on week 14 to give them the chance to beat Barmy Army and take third place. Shirebrook go into the last week knowing that victory over Cuckney Terriers will take the Wednesday title that Terriers won last season. Any slip up could let in Shireoaks, who beat Done & Dusted, despite a personal best 35 not out by Haydn Wright, to gave his side a useful 112 for 5 total. A good four wicket win by Walesby over Terriers, and Tricky Trees beat Teversal by 42 runs. Shirebrook and Shireoaks have been by far the best teams in the Wednesday League this season, and wont be out of place in the eight team play-offs. A reminder of the play-off dates - quarter Finals Monday 16th April, semi finals and final Monday 23rd April. Cheers Steve.
