Tea Bags clean sweep in play-off hat trick bid Despite going down by two wickets to Clowne, it was Kiveton Park who progress to the play-offs thanks to champions Killamarsh inflicting Thoresby Park's third defeat on the run. Richard Crabtree was on good form with 36 not out as they chased down Park's 85 all out total to win by two wickets. Bawtry rounded off a fine season beating Pilsley by 37 runs and finish only two points away from a play off spot themselves, and with the improvement they have shown this term next season could be their time. Last season's Sunday champions Cuckney Cowboys slumped to yet another disappointing defeat, this time it was Woodsetts, with Liam Summers starring with 36 not out, to leave Cowboys in 7th place out of eight. Well done Tom Ullyott and his Tea Bag side on winning all 14 games in the Monday League and look odds on to record a hat trick of play-off wins. Springboks had a confidence boosting 40 run win over Glapwell to secure second place and will also be eyeing up a third win in three attemps. Langold set off like a train against Clumber Park before a major collapse left them all out in only 12 overs for 74, Park made light work of the total losing only two wickets in reply to claim third place. Shirebrook have led the Wednesday league for most of this season, but defeat in the last game against Cuckney Terriers cost them the title. Shireoaks went into the final league game of the season knowing that a win over Walesby would give them the championship, and despite losing wickets at regular intervals, they kept up their impressive run rate with captain Richard Watts scoring 33 and man of the match James Hubball hitting a superb 83. The final total of 145 all out was always out of Walesby's reach. When Shireoaks joined the league over three years ago the young side came bottom of the table winning only one game all season. To their credit, they kept going and it is the same team that have scored a massive 571 more runs than second placed Shirebrook in taking the Wednesday league title. Some interesting ties in the play-off draw with the last four winners, Tea Bags and Springboks, playing each other, and the Wednesday league will have a representative in the semi finals after Shireoaks and Shirebrook drew each other. Play Off Quarter Final Draw Monday 16th April 6pm Shirebrook v Shireoaks Cheers Steve.
