Disappointing Cowboys fall to lively Bawtry Cuckney Cowboys' Steve Walker was Sunday's top scorer with 37, but it couldn’t stop Cowboys slipping to another disappointing defeat, going down to a lively bawtry by five wickets. Three wickets and 37 runs made Steve Ludlam the man of the match in a four wicket defeat of Clowne by leaders Killamarsh, and Dave Fagan saved Kiveton Park scoring almost half of the 80 all out total with 36. In reply Colin De Roock scored an even higher percentage of his team's runs with 32 out of Woodsetts paltry 51 all out total. Bottom side Pilsley were very unlucky against Thoresby Park who scored two off the last ball of the game to take the points. On Monday, a good stand by Nigel Jackson (37 not out) and Gareth Price (35) ended Clumber Park's good run, with Edwinstowe's 112 for 6 edging out Park who finished on 90 all out. The answer to the question I asked two weeks ago, who were the last team to beat Tea Bags, was Barmy Army on the 16th of October 2006. This time round a 34 run win takes the winning run to 14 games. A fine 37 not out from Glapwell captain Matt Hall took his side to a respectable 90 for 5 total, Langold were on fire in reply scoring 91 for 2 in less than nine overs. Shireoaks won the star game on Wednesday. Batting first, they scored an impressive 135 for 6, before a fight back by champions Cuckney Terriers' Joe Riley (37) and Richard Bostock (70) took the game to the last over with Terriers falling only 12 runs short. Done & Dusted's young side are improving by the week. A great start by openers Matt Rowbottom (39) and Ben Wright (25), with good support from man of the match Mark Spooner with 21 not out, made for a very useful 125 for 4 total. Apart from 32 from Simon Scarborough, the Forest supporters were never in the hunt, and three wickets for only seven runs in three overs from Spooner completed a comprehensive win. Shirebrook's Craig Rowland with 41 and Grant Smedley (36) set up a great finish with Walesby, who suffered a run out off the final delivery of the game to lose by one run. The play-offs this season will to contested by the top three teams from the Sunday and Monday leagues and the top two from the Wednesday league. The quarter finals will be on Monday 16th of April with the semi Finals and final on Monday 23rd April. Cheers Steve.
