Park defeated as Clowne clinch Sunday title Clowne Town clinched the Sunday title after beating closest rivals Clumber Park. In a close fought contest, Adam White top scored with 34 not out stopping the rot after early wickets had given Park hope of protecting their below par 82 for 6 total. Town went on to win by two wickets. Wins by all the higher placed teams leave all but one of the play-off positions decided, and a win in next week's final game by Killamarsh, over bottom side Rose Raptors, would see them through. After the longest unbeaten run in the League's history, Tea Bags have now lost three games in a row, the latest reverse coming against Cuckney Terriers who have adjusted well to the move up from the Wednesday League to finish in third place. Well done to The Calypso Kids {Ex Shireoaks} who win the tight Monday League after an 18 run win over Whitwell, Liam Seeley playing well for his 33 not out, and Langold finish strongly recording the highest score in the Monday League this season with a massive 154 for 6 total that was 79 runs more than Edwinstowe could muster as they slumped to 75 for 5 in reply. Wiseton Lions have made a respectable start after going straight into the strongest division and qualify in 6th place despite losing to Dave Hunt's Mafia, who take the runners up spot. Richard Bentley top scored with 41 out of 130 for 4 as the Lions responded well and finished only 13 runs short on 117 for 6. A reminder to the 16 play-off teams that you can only play for one side and must have played at least once during the current season to qualify. The dates for the first round is Wednesday 5th December and Sunday 9th December, with the Quarter Finals on Wednesday 12th December, and the Semi-Finals and Final on Sunday 16th December. I will send out the draw on Monday after the last Sunday games this Sunday 2nd December. Cheers Steve.
