Rain almost wins again Only one match took place in the Premier Division but it saw WELBECK who beat COAL ASTON by 100 runs jump into the top spot for the first time this season with a match in hand over their nearest rivals MANSFIELD HOSIERY MILLS. WELBECK could win the title next week before the last match of the season when they entertain the HOSIERY MILLS. CUCKNEY in Division One cemented their second spot after beating SHIREBROOK by 7 wickets, leaving them 17 points behind MANSFIELD & PLEASLEY and a match in hand. CUCKNEY have an easier finish to the season than M & P who have to take on third place HUCKNALL, SHIREBROOK are relegated as the bottom team In Division two a winning draw for NOMADS over SHIREOAKS also lifts them into top position, with three matches left NOMADS are 10 points ahead of second place CLOWNE TOWN with a match in hand, they meet in two weeks time. All Division three and four were lost to rain which means MANSFIELD & PLEASLEY can not get out of the bottom two places and are relegated. In Division five CLIPSTONE WELFARE are still at the top with an 11 point margin. The newly formatted Pentagon sponsored Knock Out Cup this week saw the second semi-final take place when CUCKNEY beat MANSFIELD HOSIERY MILLS by 23 runs and now meet NOMADS in the final.
