Bassetlaw XI v Mansfield League A very strong Mansfield side was quickly into the Bassetlaw wickets with 15 year old Brett Hutton and team mate Lewis Saxby leading the bowling attack. Last year's match winner Joe Aston was caught off the bowling of Saxby for 11 and this was a key wicket for the visitors. D. Manfield followed Ashton back to pavilion being caught off the same bowler. Wickets continued to fall regularly and the prize wicket of Adam Burgess, who was bowled by Tom Bullimore, who also bowled Somers for 20 after he had showed stout resistance. The home side was all out for 73 in 34th over with Saxby, Hope and Tom Bullimore taking two wickets, Douglas, Woodhall, France and Joe Bullimore all took a wicket each. The visitors did make a good start with skipper Wilcock being out LBW off the bowling of Ashton. Tom Bullimore (36 no) came in to join 15 year old Sam Wood (29 no) and they each saw off the new ball and steadily developed a match winning partnership of 69 and a comprehensive victory was completed in 15th over.
