Beer flows as Raptors win at last Killamarsh looked to be on the ropes as Nomads claimed five quick wickets and an u pset looked on the cards before Nathan Morris, with 24, joined Adam Whiteley to s top the rot. When Morris was run out, Whiteley kept going to produce the highest individual score of the season hitting a superb 88 not out to give his side a final total of 120 for 6. Nomads replied with 68 all out to give Killamarsh a 52 run victory. Clowne have found some form beating play-off hopefuls Mansfield & Pleasley by two wickets, Dale Steers top scoring with 35 not out from 114 for 5.Cuckney Cowboys missed the chance to make ground as they also lost, this time to fast improving Woodsetts, who l ook to have left their run too late to break into the top three. On Monday an improved performance from Wiseton, with Captain Dave Barker 33 and M Loates 23, batting well, but with the rest of the batting only scoring 10 between them their final total o f 66 all out was not enough as Whitwell got home with four wickets to spare. Kashmir Tandoori put another dent in Tea Bags play-off hopes with a five wicket win, and d espite a fine 51 from Cuckney Terriers' captain Richard Bostock, his side was w ell beaten by Langold, who had four batsmen retire on their way to a healthy 126 for 4. It took a timely 55 not out from Liam Somers to beat Clumber Park and close Calypso Kids to within two points of leaders Cuckney Terriers. On Wednesday, it was 20th time lucky for Rose Raptors who finally broke their duck with a comprehensive seven wicket win over Blyth, who looked to be heading for a big score before three run outs by Mark Barnett slowed them down. With the first four Raptors batsman retiring, it only took 11 overs to put the first points on the board and start the beer flowing. M & P Dragons gave themselves high hopes of taking second place after a Matt Page inspired win. He restricted Fiskerton by taking a hat trick off the first three balls of their final over, while only conceding four runs, to keep the total to a reasonable 104 for 6. Page then top scored with 26 not out as the Dragons g ot home with five balls to spare. Shirebrook lost for the second week running, this time despite 51 not out from Captain Craig Rowland. Walesby made light work of the modest 87 total, winning by four wickets with three overs to spare. Cheers Steve.
