Bawtry send shivers down the spine as they crush M & P Bawtry got revenge on the only team to beat them this season, Mansfield & Pleasley, with an ease that should send a shiver down the spine of the other play-off hopefuls. Batting first, only Richard Bostock, with a steady 21, held up the accurate bowling attack led by captain Paul Warren, with 3 for 4, and Ryan Hobson, with 2 for 3. Warren bowled a triple wicket maiden in the final over to leave the final total on 64 all out. It took the League leaders only eight overs to get the runs for the loss of only two late wickets. Killamarsh confirmed the second play-off place with a less than convincing two wicket win over lowly Thoresby Park, Nathan Morris 29 and Sam Malpass with 26 seeing them home. Cuckney Cowboys ended their slump with openers Mark and Nick Langford both retiring to give them a solid start on their way to 103 for 2. Clowne slumped to 52 all out in reply with a great spell of bowling from 12 year old Sam Walker with 2 for 9 in 2.2 overs to keep the Cowboys in with a chance of third place. On Monday, Cuckney Terriers and Calypso Kids confirmed their play-off places with wins over Tea Bags and Langold. Clumber Park made themselves favourites for the third spot with Gaz Beard again on form with 49 out of the 111 all out total against Whitwell. Craig Sadler top scored with 29 in reply but with 16 required off the last over, Dave Beard took the last two wickets as Whitwell finished on 95 all out. M & P Dragons inflicted Shirebrooks' third defeat on the run. Abbey Hawkins top scored with 30 as the Dragons set a modest 88 all out total. All-rounder Gaz Hall was on top form in reply with 47 but he was like the Lone Ranger and when he was dismissed in the 13th over, his team were left nine runs short on 79 all out. After being in the top two all season, Shirebrook now have to hope the Dragons slip up in the final two weeks. Walesby are having a good season, their latest success a 12 run win over Teversal despite a top score on the night from the prolific Chris Hewitt with a superb 54. The Raptors beer consumption could not afford two wins running and Fiskerton's massive 152 for 5 made sure it did not happen although they responded with a reasonable 86 all out. After Tricky Trees' victory over Blyth they only need one more win to take the Monday crown. Cheers Steve.
