Deserving Bawtry finish on a high Bawtry go into the play-offs on a high, easily completing the double over Clowne and deservedly winning the Sunday League, although Killamarsh have pushed them all the way. This week they beat off Cuckney Cowboys last effort to make the top three, Dave Hunt playing well for his 37 not out. This was not enough as Adam Whitely was again on form with 47not out as his team won by three wickets. A good win by bottom club Thoresby Park ended Woodsetts hopes, and despite a fourth defeat on the run, this time by a scratch Nomads side Mansfield & Pleasley take third place and will be hoping for a return to the form that made them title contenders earlier in the season. Tea Bags' captain Al Skinner looked to be finishing their disappointing season on a high as he got within two runs of the Whitwell total of 81 all out before falling to a good catch with two overs still to be bowled. Langold ensured Wiseton Lions ended winless, but they are a sporting side and will return stronger next term. M & P Dragons' all rounder Mark Spooner with 51, and 2 for 14 helped gave his team the runners up spot on Wednesday with a 43 run win over Teversal, and Rose Raptors almost upset champions Tricky Trees, restricting them to 93 for 6, Simon Scarborough top scoring with 30. Stuart Bentley replied with 22 but Raptors just ran out of steam finishing on 80 for 6. Walesby won a great contest with Fiskerton, Rob Stamps scrambling the winning runs off the final ball to scrape home by one wicket, and the Shirebrook, Blyth game was just as close, an overthrow handing Shirebrook the points off the final delivery of the match.
