Kids dominate young Dragons The Beard brothers were again on form for Clumber Park, Dave with 36 and Gas with 32, scored the lions share of the 98 all out total. The Terriers had done the d ouble over Park in the League and, despite all their batsmen getting starts, no one scored the 20 needed to retire, and when the final wicket fell in the 12th over, they were still 18 runs short. Calypso kids completely dominated the young M & P Dragons side who were without key players who were playing later for the senior team. The Monday champs smashed 157 without loss, Dragons captain Matt Rowbottom with 32 and 14 year old Matt Spooner with 28, gave the reply an air of respectability. Spooner was out off the final ball of the game to complete a convincing 62 run win for the Kids. In the Sunday 1st v 2nd clash, Bawtry provided the top two scorers, Dam Mothersdale with 36 and Brad Hutton 30, and the best bowling figures, Paul Warren with 3 for 3. However, it was Killamarsh who won the match with openers Sam Malpass 21 not out and Adam Whiteley 29 not out, paving the way for a three wicket win. Jamie Hurst was the pick of the Killamarsh bowlers with an impressive 3 for 5 including a double wicket maiden. The last game of the night was the closest as Mansfield & Pleasley made 108 for 5, Ben Wright 35 not out and Ian Woodall 27 not out top scoring, Tom Ullyott 39 not out and Danny Brown 30 not out, b oth fresh back from a cricketing winter in Australia, were the difference between the sides, but it went right to the penultimate ball of the innings before the winning r uns were struck in a well matched contest.
