Cowboys outgunned by winless Woodsetts Top played bottom on Sunday with unbeaten Cowboys up against winless Woodsetts, the result, a crushing seven wicket win for Woodsetts. Tim Ward (20), Nigel Cooke (22), and James Hubbell (22) made light work of the paltry 63 for 6 total set by Cowboys who only had Paul Hunt in double figures with 30 not out. Bawtry kept their 100% record with a 24 run win over Thoresby Park, and champions Clowne continue to struggle for form with Mansfield & Pleasley needing only nine overs to score the 83 required for victory for the loss of only two wickets. Three teams went into Monday’s games with unbeaten records but by the end of the night none remained. Kashmir Tandoori were to hot for Tea Bags. Three wickets for Jake Lowe and four catches behind by Tom Ward helped them to restrict Bags to 68 all out in reply to 88 for 5. Paul Benson top scored with 40 not out. Clumber Park only lost one wicket in chasing down Calypso Kids' 79 all out, and after openers captain Richard Bostock, with 21, and Joe Riley, with 19, were dismissed, the rest of the Cuckney Terriers' batting fell apart, their 58 all out being 28 runs short of the 86 run target set by Langold , Bryn Smith (33 not out) and Adam Dutton (24 not out) doing most of the damage. Terriers can take solace in the fact that, despite defeat, they go to top of the table thanks to the fact that previous leaders Calypso Kids had only taken one wicket in their game. Wiseton Lions tactics of suicidal running from ball one resulted in five run outs and only batting 11 of the 14 overs allocation to finish on 66 all out. Whitwell recorded their first win of the season in style for the loss of just two wickets. Tricky Trees won the top of the table battle on Wednesday with a resounding 70 run defeat of Teversal, captain Ant Johnson top scoring with 25 out of his teams 98 for 3 total. The Teversal reply never got going against a strong bowling attack and slumped to 28 all out. Another Captain in good form was Blyth's Tolley Dalton with 20 not out as they took two points from a disappointing Rose Raptors, who were all out for 48 in 10.4 overs. Cheers Steve.
