Page leads from the front as Bawtry crash to M & P Mansfield & Pleasley became the first side to lower the colours of Bawtry this season, with captain Matt Page leading from the front with a fine 48 not out to take his team to the top of the Sunday League. Cuckney Cowboys added to Clowne’s misery with a narrow four run win, and Nomads recorded their first win this term easily beating Woodsetts by five wickets. Nomads move from bottom to fifth in a strange looking table that has four teams on 8 points and the other four on 2 points. Despite a great win against Tea Bags on Monday, Cuckney Terriers slip down to second place after champions Calypso Kids c halked up the highest score of the season with 147 for 6 against Langold, who r eplied with 102 all out. Good scoring all down the order gave Kashmir Tandoori a t hird win on the run, this time at the expense of winless Wiseton Lions, and Whitwell continue to improve with a five wicket defeat of Clumber Park. On Wednesday M & P Dragon's Ben Wright top scored in the match with 33 but when he was dismissed off the penultimate ball of the game, it gave Shirebrook the points by just three runs. There were comfortable wins for Tricky Trees and Fiskerton over Blyth and Rose Raptors, and another player to top score and finish on the losing side was Teversal's Chris Hewitt, whose 40 just failed to overhaul the Walesby total of 111 all out. Walesby had captain Ryan Harkness to thank with a top score of 34 as his team recorded a two run win. Cheers Steve.
