Morris season's best sees Killamarsh to halfway lead Killamarsh lead the way at the halfway stage of the season after beating Cuckney Cowboys. Despite 59 from Dave Hunt, the Cowboys were pegged back to 89 all out. A great spell of bowling by Nathan Morris, whose five wickets for nine runs was the best figures of the season, kept his side on track for the Sunday title. Clowne had an improved batting display against Bawtry, setting a 98 for 5 total. Dale Steers top scored with 34 not out, but on form Bawtry made very light work of it taking only eight overs in reaching 99 for 2. Cuckney Terriers are four points clear on Monday after beating Calypso Kids who had Liam Somers on form scoring 53 of their 103 for 6 total. Matt Page and Richard Bostock with 30 each made sure of the points with an over to spare. I have to say that if their was a good sports table Terriers would be firmly rooted at the bottom. As expected, unbeaten Tricky Trees had no problem extending Rose Raptors losing run to 16 games. Keep going boys - just think how good the beer will taste when the first win comes. Young Shirebrook player Liam Smedley had a good week on Sunday when he scored 32 for Thoresby Park, and carried i t forward to Wednesday with 21 not out and 3 for 4 as Shirebrook beat Blyth by four wickets, not bad for a 13 year old. Haydn Wright 39 and Matthew Rowbottom 38 were the top scorers in the match for the M & P Dragons, but a good all-round performance from Teversal gave them the points and they replace the Dragons in third place. Cheers Steve.
