Cuckney Indoor Cricket Spring League - week 3

The eagerly awaited play off final never lived up to its billing with Thoresby Colliery winning with ease. Batting first they racked up a formidable 145 for 5 total, with South African Paul Hughes top scoring with 46 not out. Clowne never looked like reaching the target with Thoresby's bowlers always on top they struggled to 59 all out.

Thoresby's all rounder Shailesh Patel was man of the match his 2 for 2 in 2 overs adding to a hard hitting 34. Clowne were left reflecting on early chances spilled that might have made the contest a closer one. But congratulations must go to Thoresby Colliery for dominating the game and they were good value for their 86 run victory.

In the Sunday league Clowne's misery was complete when they lost in the league for the first time, Cuckney Cowboys edging a close game by 3 wickets. Blidworth now the only unbeaten side after there 27 run victory over Walesby.

Glapwell head the Monday League after beating Chop Rabbits, and in the battle of the other teams on 100%, Sas Swingers bowled Marshalls out for 75 but only just scraped home by 1 wicket.
