Cuckney Indoor Cricket Spring League - week 7

No surprises in the final weeks matches. The best game on Sunday was the 4 run win by Thoresby Park over Nomads, Park unlucky to miss out on the playoffs after winning 4 out of 7. Clowne take top spot after beating second place Blidworth by 5 wickets.

Whitwell slipped into second place beating winless Woodsetts who made them work hard for their 24 run win. Woodsetts might be the only team in either division not to record a win but they certainly get my vote as most sporting team always giving 100% and gracious in victory or defeat.

On Monday Sas Swingers bowled Glapwell out in 11 overs for 73 and cruised to a 4 wicket win to take the title. Shireoaks bowled well to restrict Marshalls t o a modest 99 for 7 total but found runs hard to come by and were all out for 80, and a new look Chop Rabbits crushed Mansfield & Pleasley by 38 runs.

The play off quarter finals are on Monday the 26th April. Clowne will be hoping to go one better than last time but I make unbeaten Sas favourite, and with Cuckney Cowboys on a five match winning run and new boys Marshalls capable of beating anyone on their day it will be interesting to see who goes through to the semi finals and final on Thursday the 29th April.

8pm Clowne Town v Glapwell
9pm Blidworth v Sas Swingers
