The Barmy Army, a side made up of Mansfield & Pleasley under 15 players, saw off the challenge of ever-cheerful Renegades and take the title with a 100% record. Tea Bags secured second place with a 12 run win over Comet, and Shireoaks beat Cuckney Terriers to finish third. The top 4 teams were all filled with young players who have improved as the season went onand have been a credit to their clubs.
Mansfield & Pleasley became the first team to qualify for the play-offs when b eating Clowne by five wickets. Only four points separate the next five and it looks like going to the final week to sort out the final placings. Cuckney Cowboys have hit a bad patch this week being well beaten by Blidworth, and Pilsley set up next week's t op of the table clash with Mansfield & Pleasley with a 33 run defeat of Thoresby Park.
After this week's matches only one play-off spot is to be decided. Springboks thrashing by Bridon gave Sas a chance to take fourth spot, but they came unstuck against lowly Glapwell, losing by 27 runs. Whitwell's late revival gives thema glimmer of hope of snatching fourth spot and going on to retain their title.
