Sunday' s top game saw Mansfield & Pleasley inflict the first defeat on Pilsley, and with Thoresby Park's two wicket defeat of Blidworth, Pilsley find themselves out of the play off places for the first time this season. Clowne warmed up for next week'ss top of the table clash with Mansfield & Pleasley by thrashing Nomads by 88 runs, and winless MGT and Cuckney Terriers also meet in a foot of the table battle.

On Monday, Rowthornes all rounder Ian Woodhall hit a superb 50 to take his side to within three runs of beating Springboks before his partner was run out with three balls to go. The Mafia set off like a train against Thoresby Colliery, but paid the price for being bowled out in only nine overs as in form Thoresby easily passed the 84 total with three wickets in hand.

Honours on Thursday go to Walesby who b eat Barmy Army for the first time in two seasons with youngster Rob Stamp hitting nine in two balls to win with a ball to spare. Second placed Langold were in no mood to slip up after smashing the young Clowne side for an impressive 133. Steve Blagg claimed four wickets in four balls, all bowled, in the first over of the Clowne reply, but to his teams credit, Phil Bennett dug in and scored 51 not out of his sides 61 for 6 total to deny Langold the wicket that would have taken them into first place. The difference between the top two is now only one run.
