Superb Tea Bags serve up a master class Tea Bags and Clowne served up a master class of how to play indoor cricket, with Clowne, chasing a daunting total of 132, just falling short, losing their last wicket off the penultimate ball of the game an agonising four runs short. In the second semi, fancied Mafia held Tricky Trees to a very gettable 105 for 6, but their normally reliable batting line-up fell apart with only captain Dave Hunt with 34 showing any resistance. When he was last out his side was still 35 runs short with over five overs still to bowl. Tricky Trees had played some great cricket to reach the final with captain Ant Johnson and his lowly placed Thursday league side causing several upsets on the way, but in the final they came up against a team at the top of their game. Tea Bag is the nickname of talented Cuckney youngster Tom Ullyott and despite his side losing a wicket in the first over the other six batsmen all retired. Tom's brother Will top scoring with 40 not out and the final total of 168 for 2 broke the season's scoring record. Trees final total of 107 all out would have won many matches, but congratulations to the superb Tea Bags - worthy winners of this season's knock out cup.
