Saturday league results week 4

Tea Bags 96/7 beat Shireoaks 40/7
MGT 130/6 beat Renegades 38/7
Cuckney Terriers 87/1 beat Barmy Army 83/6

After a massive 92 run win over ever cheerful Renegades it looks like MGT are set to win the 5-week Saturday mini league. Shireoaks bowled well to restrict Tea Bags to 96 all out, but found runs hard to come by being a ll out for only 40. Terriers moved off bottom spot with a fine six wicket defeat of Barmy Army.

Monday league results week 4

Whitwell 111/3  beat SAS Swingers 110/3
Clumber Park 95/6 beat Glapwell 94/4
Bridon 93/5 beat Edwinstowe 91/6
Sherbert Dabs 100/3 beat Thoresby Colliery 99/6

In a tight round of games, all four matches went to the last over. Thoresby Colliery had a nightmare start and after two overs were struggling on 4 for 2. Only a superb 76 from Martin Cheshire, with support from Lee Willis (16), saw them finish on a respectable 99 for 6 total. Steady batting saw Dabs home with four balls to spare. The battle of the last two unbeaten teams was even closer, Bridon surviving a close run out call off the last ball to beat Edwinstowe. Glapwell must be wondering when their luck will change after yet another last over defeat, this time at the hands of Clumber Park.

The new Saturday League starts on February 19th. Anyone interested contact Steve Spencer on 01623 471673 (home) or 07855 030538 (mobile) or email bigspen8@ntlworld.com.
