Sunday's round of matches proved to be the closest in the three year history of the Cuckney Indoor Cricket Centre. The only game not to be decided on the last ball was the 21 run defeat of Bawtry by Thoresby Park. Pilsley's Andy Keithley was his side’s hero with 45 not out to beat Woodsetts by the narrowest of margins - one wicket.

A great run chase by Cuckney Cowboys inflicted Clowne Town's second defeat on the run, and MGT who finished next to bottom last year, beat new side Edwinstowe, who have replaced champions Mansfield & Pleasley, who have dropped out due to junior coaching commitments.

In the Monday league, I predict Tea Bags to take the honours. This week, despite being under strength, they easily saw off the challenge of The Mafia by 5 wickets. Glapwell had an easy win over a disappointing Rowthorne Lane and there were good wins for Stevos Rockets and Edwinstowe.

The Wednesday league looks like it could go to the wire this season. After only two weeks, Shirebrook are the only team on 100% after last season's champions Barmy Army and runners up Langold both lost close games against inspired performances by Clowne and Tricky Trees respectively.
