Father and son duo denied by The Mafia No surprises on Sunday with all games going to form, the best of which being Clowne Town's last ball victory over Woodsetts to win by one wicket. Again on Monday the fancied sides all won, but Stevos Rockets' father and son Andy and Richard Bostock made The Mafia go all the way scoring 58 between them out of Rockets' 97 all out total. With four overs of the game left and 50 runs still needed It looked all over for Mafia before a great partnership between captain Dave Hunt and Jason Edwards snatched victory away from the Rockets with a ball to spare. Tea Bags won their double pointer with Clumber Park scoring 90 runs off the last seven overs to reach 139 for 3, a target always out of Park's reach, but to their credit they gave it a go before being bowled out for a creditable 92. The top game on Wednesday saw Shirebrook and Tricky Trees play out the first tie of the season to let Langold and Barmy Army take the top two spots back after wins over Walesby and Shireoaks respectively.
