'the follow on' - Cowboys run out of amunition

Thoresby Park came out on top of Sunday's top of the table clash as the Cowboys ran out of ammunition only 16 runs short of the 113 all out target. For the second week running Bawtry came up against play-off hopefuls, and again upset the form book, this week beating Woodsetts by a resounding 42 runs.

Clowne made themselves favourites for third place, putting paid to MGTs chances in the process, and with bottom team Edwinstowe to play in the last league game next week, they look certain to make up the final Sunday play off spot.

Well done to Rowthorne Lane Silveres who rapped up the Monday league title with wins over The Mafia and Clumber Park. Edwinstowe won a high scoring affair with The Mafia, chasing down 125 to win by two wickets. It was 13th time lucky for Whitwell, beating Stevos Rockets by a massive seven wickets to record their first win of the season, and Tea Bags strolled into the play-offs beating Glapwell by 61 runs.

Langold confirmed the Wednesday title on week 13 by beating Shireoaks by 77 runs. Tricky Trees ended a string of defeats by tieing with Barmy Army on 91 runs each. Shirebrook's 97 run victory over the young Clowne side was one of the biggest ever recorded and kept the pressure on Barmy Army to have to beat champions Langold in week 14.

Shirebrook beat a spirited Cuckney Terriers in the first game on the final week and stayed on rooting for Langold in game two, only to be disappointed as Barmy Army found form at the right time scoring 132 for 4 Despite a fine 52 by Bryn Smith in the Langold reply, they ran out of wickets on 104 for 7. Tricky Trees won a tight game with Clowne, and Shireoaks, with the help of a string of extras from Walesby, finished with a two wicket win and sixth place.
